Environmental Administration in Denmark
Abstract:
Over the last few decades Denmark has made considerable progress in
environmental administration. This book provides a coherent account of
Danish experience as a contribution to the international exchange of
experience in the environmental area.Three principal questions are
addressed:What requirements are stipulated by the European Community? How
has Denmark elected to regulate environmental matters? And what impact has
regulation had?The questions are examined with regard to the
authorities,enterprises and consumers. Emphasis is placed on what works
and what does not.The benefits,drawbacks and pitfalls of environmental
administration are assessed.

Det er de seneste årtier sket store fremskridt inden for
miljøadministrationen i Danmark. Denne bog giver en samlet
beskrivelse af danske erfaringer som bidrag til den internationale
udveksling af erfaringer på miljøområdet. Bogen beskæftiger sig med 3
hovedspørgsmål: Hvilke krav fastlægges af De Europæiske Fællesskaber?
Hvorledes har man i Danmark valgt at regulere miljøforholdene? Og
hvilken virkning har reguleringen haft? Spørgsmålene behandles i
forhold til myndigheder, virksomheder og forbrugere. Især fremhæves,
hvad der virker, og hvad der ikke virker. Der gives en vurdering af
fordele, ulemper og faldgruber inden for miljøadministrationen
