Abstract
The publication gives an account of environmental cooperation between Denmark and 12
countries in Eastern Europe. The basis of co-operation is a country programme, describing
present and future priority areas in the recipient countries, as an expression of common
understanding between the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and the Ministry of
Environment in the recipient countries. The publication also describes the environmental
efforts made in 1991-96 under the Danish Environmental Support Fund for Eastern Europe
(DESF) administered by the DEPA.
