Survey of azo-colorants in Denmark

Consumption, use, health and environmental aspects

Abstract
The report content a survey of the mass flow of azocolorants i Denmark. Azocolorants encompass both azo dyes and azo pigments. Danish azo pigments are mainly used in the processing industries in paints, lacquers, printing an printing inks and in plastics. Azo dyes are predominantly used in the colouring of textiles and to some extent in plastic and leather.

Rapporten indeholder en indledende kortlægning af forbrug og anvendelser af azofarver i Danmark. Azofarver består af to hovedgrupper azofarvestoffer og azopigmenter. Kortlægningen viser at azopigmenter hovedsaglig anvendes i farve/lak industrien, i den grafiske industri samt i plastindustrien. Azofarvestoffer bliver primært brugt i forbindelse med farvning af tekstiler og i nogen grad af farvning af plastik og læder.
