Optimization of PVC-free materials in cables

Abstract:
The purpose of the project is to select halogen-free flame-retarded material - HFFR material - presenting the best profile in terms of properties and adaptability of manufacturing process to the selected materials. Moreover, the project clarifies the results of the Cleaner Technology Project "Alternative to PVC in Cables and Connected Building Installations", which concludes that the possibility exists of manufacturing certain cable types presenting better environmental qualities than traditional PVC-containing cables.
