The EU directive (94/27/EEC), on the restriction of nickel in certain applications in which it can come into direct contact with the skin for long periods, has been adopted. New Statutory Orders on the prohibition, importing and sale of certain products containing nickel have been published and enter into force on 20 July 2000. The new regulations represent a tightening of the present Danish regulations.
