Build on the Positive Trends - next steps in the global effort for sustainable production and consumption

Abstract
This discussion paper describes how it is possible to implement the decision from the World Summit in Johannesburg to develop a 10-year framework of programmes for sustainable production and consumption. It is a.o.  proposed that the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD) shall set forth the overall objectives for the next ten years efforts. 13 proposals for initiatives, which can be taken by international organisations to promote sustainable production and consumption in a short term, are presented.
