eng: The report is a strategic analysis of the environmental challenges faced by Northwest Russia. The analysis is based on the environmental problems affecting The Baltic Sea namely water quality, waste handling and air pollution related to the energy sector.

dan: Denne rapport er en strategisk analyse af de miljøudfordringer, som den nordvestlige del af Rusland står overfor. Udgangspunktet for analysen er de miljøproblemer, som har en konkret indvirkning på Østersøen, nemlig vandkvalitet, affaldsbehandling og luftforurening fra energisektoren.
