Abstract:
The report gives an overall outline of waste production i Denmark in 2001 by sources, waste types, waste fractions, forms of treatment, and presents inventories of imports and exports of waste. The statistical data gives a survey of the development of waste generation in the years 1995 - 2001. The development is weighed against the targets for the year 2004 in the Governments waste plan 1998 - 2004, Waste 21. Also an projection for the development in total waste amounts up till 2020.

Publikationen indeholder en total opgørelse over affaldsproduktionen i Danmark i 2001 opdelt på kilder, affaldstyper, affaldsfraktioner, behandlingsformer samt en opgørelse over import og eksport af affald. Statistikken giver desuden en oversigt over udviklingen i affaldsmængderne opgjort for årene 1995 - 2001. Udviklingen sættes i relation til målene for år 2004 i regeringens affaldsplan 1998- 2004, Affald 21. Publikationen indeholder desuden en fremskrivning af udviklingen i de samlede affaldsmængder frem til 2020.
