Ozone depleting substances and the greenhouse gases HFCs, PFCs and SF6

Abstract
The report assesses the Danish consumption in 2001 of ozone-depleting substances and consumption and emissions in 2000 of the industrial greenhouse gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6). The consumption of ozone-depleting substances is about the half compaired to 2001. Emissions of greenhouse gases are calculated at approx. 715.000 tons CO2-equivalents compaired to about 700.000 tons in 2001. HFCs for refrigeration purposes still represent by far the largest emissions.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency will, when opportunity offers, publish reports and contributions relating to environmental research and development projects financed via the Danish EPA.

Please note that publication does not signify that the contents of the reports necessarily reflect the views of the Danish EPA.

The reports are, however, published because the Danish EPA finds that the studies represent a valuable contribution to the debate on environmental policy in Denmark.
