The Product, Functional Unit and Reference Flows in LCA

Abstract
The present guideline describes an unambiquous prodecure for the first steps of life cycle assessments: determination of relevant product functions and product alternatives, definition of the functional unit and determination of the reference flow. The guideline is a result from a larger project about LCA methodology development and concensus.
