Technical Documentation of PestSurf, a Model describing Fate and Transport of Pesticides in Surface Water for Danish Conditions

Abstract
PestSurf is a model tool that carries out pesticide simulations to evaluate the effect of plant protection compounds on adjacent surface water. PestSurf is parameterised for two Danish catchments. The report contains the technical documentation for the special processes implemented in the programme, i.e. drift, dry deposition, colloid transport and processes in streams and ponds of relevance to pesticides. The report also includes a description of the user interface of the model.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency will, when opportunity offers, publish reports and contributions relating to environmental research and development projects financed via the Danish EPA.

Please note that publication does not signify that the contents of the reports necessarily reflect the views of the Danish EPA.

The reports are, however, published because the Danish EPA finds that the studies represent a valuable contribution to the debate on environmental policy in Denmark.
