Waste Statistics 2003

(5) In the Danish Statutory Order on Asbestos (Statutory Order no. 660 of 24 September 1986) from the Ministry of Labour (now Ministry of Employment), asbestos is divided into three categories: I) dust-emitting asbestos, II) asbestos that may emit dust, and III) non-dust-emitting asbestos. Only asbestos from Category I is hazardous. Reports to the ISAG, however, cover asbestos from both Category I and II.
