Abstract:
The guidelines provide participants in product standardisation with practical advice and instructions on how to include environmental aspects in product standards. Product standards can influence a product's environmental impact in different ways. These and the existing tools in the area are described and examples are given on how product standards can help to reduce the environmental impacts of products.

Manualen giver personer, der medvirker ved standardisering af produkter, praktiske råd og vejledning i at indarbejde miljøaspekter i standarder. Samspillet mellem produktstandarder og miljø beskrives, værktøjerne på området gennemgås, og der gives en række eksempler på, hvordan miljøaspekter er blevet inddraget i konkrete standarder.
