2 Objectives

Objective of the project - A health assessment of dihydroxyacetone (DHA) in self-tanning products used as sprays in booths:

to obtain toxicological data on DHA in order to assess the health effects of inhalation and contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.
to find examples of products and types of booth available on the market.
to carry out an exposure assessment on the basis of measurements conducted by NERI.

The project does not include a study of products, but it should be viewed as a preliminary assessment of selected products and techniques on the market.
