Abstract:
The project is a survey of cosmetic products for children addressing the chemical composition of the containers and their contents. Of 208 products in the survey 34 % had a content of one or more of the 26 perfume substances. Some of the containers contained phthalates while only small concentrations of heavy metals were found. The risk assessment showed that there generally is no risk associated with the products concerning their content of Kathon and benzyl alcohol.

Markedet for kosmetiske produkter henvendt til børn er blevet kortlagt og der er lavet analyser for indholdsstoffer. Af de 208 kortlagte produkter indeholdt 34 % et eller flere af de 26 deklarationspligtige parfumestoffer. Emballagen til de analyserede produkter indeholdt i nogle tilfælde ftalater, mens der ikke blev fundet tungmetaller over grænseværdierne. Den sundhedsmæssige vurdering viste, at der generelt ikke er nogen risiko ved brug af produkterne i forhold til indhold af Kathon og benzylalkohol.
