Abstract:
It has been observed that in Denmark and other EU member states spray products for proofing of textiles in certain cases result in serious poisoning symptoms. In the project literature retrieval and information search on the cases has been preformed. Investigation of chemical composition of substances and liberation of small aerosols during use have been analysed on some textile proofing products. Likewise, health assessments of some of the substances and products have been done. It has not been possible to identify which substances caused the poisoning symptoms.

Abstract in Danish:
I Danmark og andre lande i EU har der været en række meget alvorlige forgiftningstilfælde efter brug af tekstilimprægneringsmidler. I projektet er der lavet litteraturgennemgang og informationssøgning om forgiftningstilfældene. Der er udført kemiske analyser af indholdsstoffer og partikelstørrelse af de dannede aerosoler på en række tekstilimprægneringsmidler. Derudover er der lavet sundhedsmæssig vurdering af en række udvalgte stoffer og produkter. Det har ikke været muligt entydigt at identificere hvilke stoffer som kan være skyld i de alvorlige forgiftningstilfælde.
