Abstract:
A ringtest was performed to introduce collembolans for the OECD test guideline programme. One species, the parthenogenetic Folsomia candida, is already an approved ISO standard while the sexually reproducing Folsomia fimetaria is introduced in the draft test guideline as an alternative to F. candida. Although F. fimetaria requires some initial running-in it delivers robust testing results and is recommended for the testing of compounds that may interfere with the reproductive system.

En international ringtest er gennemført med to collembolarter, så de kan introduceres til OECDs test-guideline-program. Den ene art Folsomia candida, findes allerede som en anerkendt ISO standard, mens den anden sexuelt reproducerende art Folsomia fimetaria er inkluderet i det nye test guideline forslag, som et alternativ til F. candida. På trods af at F. fimetaria kræver indkøring i et testlaboratorie for at fungere, giver den stabile resultater og anbefales som testart, specielt for stoffer som kan influere på reproduktionsapparatet.
