Assessment of the Impact of an EC Directive on Priority Substances under the WFD on the Current Regulation of Contaminated Sites

Der er gennemført en indledende screening af en række prioriterede stoffer og andre stoffer i et datterdirektiv til EU's Vandrammedirektiv, for at vurdere hvilke af stofferne, der ved udsivning fra jordforureninger til overfladevand udgør en risiko for at overskride de i direktivet foreslåede miljøkvalitetskrav. Screeningen er baseret på statistiske oplysninger om brug og produktion af stofferne, deres fysiske, kemiske og toksiske egenskaber samt hvorvidt de håndteres med gældende lovgivning og praksis. Endvidere indgår antagelser om geologi og fortyndingsfaktorer. Stofferne HCH/lindane, nonylphenol, octylphenol, trichlorobenzen og trichloromethan vil muligvis kunne udgøre en risiko på nogle få større og et antal mindre lokaliteter, mens tributlytin forventes at findes på omkring 500 lokaliteter, især lystbådspladser og skibsværfter. Det er nødvendigt med specifikke undersøgelser eller overvågning af overfladevand for at finde den konkrete risiko.
