Title:
The Advisory list for self-classification of dangerous substances

Key Subjects:
Classification of dangerous substances, Quantitative Structure Activity Relations (QSAR), CMR-substances, PBT-substances

Abstract:
To help companies to self-classify chemicals, the Environmental Protection Agency in 2001 prepared the advisory list for self-classification of dangerous substances, where (Q) SAR models were used to predict a number of classifications of chemical substances. In this amended list, there are new suggested classifications for 23,922 substances in relation to one or more of the following effects: Mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity and danger to the aquatic environment. Classification proposals for acute oral toxicity and skin sensitisation from the previous version of the self-classification list are still available together with the new predictions.
