Abstract:
The purpose of the project is to estimate the unit costs of selected chemical related diseases, which can be used in economic analyses. Focus is on a detailed estimation of the direct costs supplemented with more rough assessment of the indirect costs in terms of the production loss and the individual welfare loss. The selected diseases are asthma, headache, contact allergy, lung cancer and skin cancer.

Abstract in Danish:
Formålet med projektet er at estimere enhedspriser forbundet med en række kemikalierelaterede sygdomme til brug for samfundsøkonomiske analyser. Fokus er på beregning af de direkte omkostninger, dvs. omkostninger til konsultation hos praktiserende læge eller speciallæge, sygehusophold, medicin og lignende. De indirekte omkostninger omfatter såvel et produktionstab, når en person ikke kan arbejde som følge af sygdommen som et individuelt velfærdstab. De udvalgte sygdomme er astma, hovedpine, kontaktallergi, lungekræft og hudkræft.
