Environmental Guidelines no. 1, 2002

Guidelines for Air Emission Regulation

Limitation of air pollution from installations

Abstract
The Guidelines give an overall presentation of the regulation of air pollution from installations. Key instruments are mass flow limits, emission limit values and C-values. The mass flow limits are used to determine the need for purification of air discharged through outlets, and the emission limit values determine the concentration to be achieved. The Guidelines also outline the control and analysis methods, and requirements for energy plants, and set out requirements for the design and operation of tanks and silos.
