Vol. 3: The Environment of the Faroe Islands

Abstract
The present volume is a comprehensive report of the measurments of pollutants in the Faroe Islands which have been undertaken to meet the demands of the circumpolar Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) since the implementation for the Faroe Islands area began in 1997 until the end of the AMAP 2nd phase in 2001. The report coveres measurments of persistent organic pollutants, of heavy metals and radioactive isotopes in the terrestrial, the freshwater, the marine and the atmospheric compartments.
