Abstract:
The Danish consumption of the brominated flame retardant deca-BDE has been estimated. Deca-BDE is imported for a few uses. Industrial use is limited to free standing production of special products for export. Deca-BDE is imported in tents, cars and heat-shrink tubing. Import has not been found in other types of products. It should be underlined that there is considerably uncertainties associated with the results, as there was few replies from importers together with a general lack of knowledge of which chemicals are used in the products.

Det danske forbrug af den bromerede flammehæmmer er kortlagt. Der sker import af deca-BDE inden for til få anvendelser. Anvendelsen i industrien synes relateret til enkeltstående specialordrer til eksport. Deca-BDE importeres i telte, biler og krympeflex. Der er ikke fundet import af deca-BDE i andre produktgrupper. Det understreges, at der er betydelig usikkerhed ved opgørelsen, da der har været lav svarprocent fra importører samt generel usikkerhed mht., hvad de importerede produkter indeholder.
