Abstract
The waste model is a simple scenario model which converts forecasts for the economic development to scenarios for waste generation. Given alternative economic developments, the model may be used to analyse how the economy affects waste generation. The model is based on the information System for Waste ISAG and the macro economic model ADAM. The model assumes proportionality between the amount of waste and the waste generating economic activity.

Resumé
Affaldsmodellen er en simpel scenariemodel, som omsætter fremskrivninger af den økonomiske udvikling til scenarier for affaldsproduktion. Givet alternative økonomiske udviklinger, kan modellen bruges til at undersøge, hvordan økonomien påvirker affaldsproduktionen. Modellen er baseret på Informations System for Affald og Genanvendelse ISAG samt den makro-økonomiske model ADAM. Modellen forudsætter proportionalitet mellem affaldsmængden og den økonomiske aktivitet i hver sektor.
