Abstract
eng: This conference report focuses on the meaning and application of the precautionary
principle: How much care is needed if scientific uncertainty arises about an action which
could have a detrimental effect on the environment? The debate tries to clarify this
question, and the presenters adress the issue from a number of different angles:
administrative, technical and economical, and social. This publication presents the
contributions made during the conference, gives short summaries and extracts of the debate
and question time.

dan: Hvor forsigtig skal man være ved brugen af miljøskadelige stoffer, når viden om
graden af skadelighed hviler på videnskabelig usikkerhed, også kaldet
forsigtighedsprincippet. I et debatforum sættes dette spørgsmål under lup og belyses
ved indlæg fra oplægsholdere, der anskuer problematikken fra forskellige vinkler: et
administrativt, et teknisk og økonomisk og et samfundsmæssigt. Denne publikation består
af udskrifter fra oplægsholdernes indlæg, korte resuméer og udskrift af den
