Reduction of Environmental Pressure from Car Transport - Extended Summary

Abstract
This report is the result of a case study of the transport sector. It is the contribution of Denmark to a project under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers regarding the implementation of factor 10 and factor 4 strategies in various sectors. Factor 4 and factor 10 are eco-efficiency strategies aiming at reducing the resource consumption and environmental impact by a factor 4 and 10 compared to the present levels. This report analyses a wide range of potential instruments towards a factor 4 and 10 reduction in the use of materials, environmental impact and C0₂ emissions.
