Abstract:
The study is a survey on which chemical substances that can migrate from surface treated wooden toys and which substances the consumer will be exposed to. 15 peace's of toys, which can be expected to be put in the mouth, is selected for analysis. Of the 125 identified substances 43 were classified. The conclusion from this study is, that none of the examined pieces of wooden toys are considered to be a health risk to children mouthing the toys, but the substances will contribute to total impact of these substances.

Projektet har kortlagt hvilke kemiske stoffer der kan afgives fra overfladebehandlet trælegetøj og hvilke stoffer forbrugeren kan blive eksponeret for. 15 stykker legetøjet er udvalgt efter om det kan forventes at komme i munden. Der er analyseret 125 stoffer, heraf var 43 klassificerede på Listen over farlige stoffer. Det konkluderes, at ingen af de undersøgte stykker legetøj udgør en sundhedsmæssig risiko for børn, der putter dem i munden, men produkterne bidrager til den samlede belastning af disse stoffer.
