Abstract:
Foam toys and childcare products are mainly produced from EVA and PUR foam. Based in this survey, it is recommended to focus on the content of phtalates of these products, as 2 of 6 products contained concentrations above the permitted limit value for phtalates in toys intended for children between 0-3 years. Furthermore, an analysis for content of organic tin compounds, flame retardants, metals and azo colorants was conducted, but they were not found in concentrations of concern for the safety of children.

Abstract in Danish:
Legetøj og børneartikler produceret af skumplast er hovedsagelig produceret af EVA og PUR skum, og det vurderes at fokus bør være på phtalatindholdet i produkterne. Det blev påbudt at tilbagekalde to ud af 8 produkter fra det danske marked, da de indeholdte phtalater i mængder, der var højere end den tilladte grænseværdi for legetøj beregnet til børn <3år. Endvidere blev der analyseret for indhold af organotinforbindelser, flammehæmere, metaller samt azo farvestoffer. De fandtes ikke i koncentrationer, der kan give anledning for bekymring af børns sundhed.
