Cadmium, DEHP og NPE i kildesorteret,
forbehandlet og afgasset dagrenovation English Summary
The objective of the study has been to investigate whether the cadmium, DEHP and NPE
content of the fertilizer product from anaerobic digested MSW is below the limits of the
Danish legislation and to identify the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of the
fertilizer product. The project was performed at an anaerobic digestion plant in Vaarst, where the MSW was
digested without adding liquid manure. The MSW was collected in 6 municipalities in the
northern part of Zealand and was pretreated in Herning. The cadmium content of the raw pretreated waste was around 0,2 mg/kg DM. The cadmium
content of the digested fertilizer product was 0,72 mg/kg DM, which is higher than the
limits as from year 2000. The DEHP content of the raw pretreated waste is around 28 mg/kg DM, but an improved
extraction before analyzing more than doubled the content. The actual DEHP content is thus
assumed to be more than the double of the actual value of the raw pretreated waste. The DEHP content of the digested fertilizer product was around 160 mg/kg DM, which is
much higher than the limits as from year 2000. In the project period the NPE content of the raw material and of the fertilizer was in
the project period below the limits as from year 2000. |
