Abstract:
The content of chemicals in nail hardeners and in products for artificial nails was investigated in products from the Danish market. The report shows that both product types contain chemicals that can cause allergic reactions. Therefore it is advised that these products are applied in a way that minimizes contact with the skin. Nail hardeners should not be used on damaged nails. The labelling of artificial nail products was in many cases found to be inconsistent with the EU cosmetics directive.

Miljøstyrelsen har kortlagt indholdet af kemikalier i neglehærderprodukter og i produkter til opbygning af kunstige negle på det danske marked. Rapporten viser at begge produkttyper indeholder kemiske stoffer, som kan give allergi ved kontakt med huden. Det er derfor vigtigt at disse produkter påføres på en måde, så hudkontakt så vidt muligt undgås. Neglehærder ikke anvendes på negle, som er beskadigede. Der blev desuden fundet en del overtrædelser med hensyn til mærkning af produkter til kunstige negle.
