Abstract
The substances HFCs, PFCs and SF6 are potent greenhouse gases, the control of which is entrusted to the Kyoto protocol.

HFCs are used as substitute for CFC in domestic refrigerators, in chillers and other refrigeration plants, in insulation foam, in fire extinguishants etc.

PFCs are used as a drop-in substitute for CFC in existing refrigeration systems.

Among others, SF6 is used in breakers, by magnesium casting, in double glazed-windows and as a tracer gas.

According to the report various technological alternatives, abandoning application of potent greenhouse gases, are commercially available in almost any cases.
