Effects of reduced pesticide use on flora and fauna in agricultural
fields
Table 3.5.
The estimated mean dry masses of relevant bird prey (based on known skylark
prey (Elmegaard et al. 1999) and the estimated mean dry masses of all
arthropods collected in the three different crops. The numbers given are least squares
estimates of the mean dry mass, of 5-7 samples per year in the period late May - mid
August. In cereals the estimates are "mg/3 m2" and in beets
"mg/1.5 m2 plants". The estimates are followed by 95% confidence
intervals. P-values for test of significance of the factor "dosage" are given
(**: p<0.01). Significant differences (p<0.05) between the different dosages are
found by paired t-tests and are indicated by different letters.
