Abstract
eng: The consumption of chromium and chromium compounds in Denmark in 1999 was 25,000-30,000 tons/year - of which more than 50% was used as metallic chromium, and the remaining quantity as chromium compounds and as trace constituents; the consumption of chromium(VI) compounds is considered to fall, and is estimated at 50-53 tons/year.   Chromium in waste is largely recycled together with iron, aluminium and copper, while this is not the case with chromium compounds.  A survey was also made of emissions to air, soil and water, and to landfills.

dan: Forbruget af chrom og chromforbindelser i Danmark er for 1999 opgjort til 25.000-30.000  ton/år - heraf mere end 97% anvendt som metallisk chrom og den resterende mængde som chromforbindelser og som følgestof.  Forbruget af chrom(VI)forbindelser vurderes at være faldende og skønnes at udgøre 50-53 ton/år.   Chrom i metalaffald genanvendes i stort omfang sammen med jern, aluminium og kobber, mens dette ikke er tilfældet for chromforbindelser.  Emissioner til luft, jord og vand samt til deponi er ligeledes kortlagt.
